The Woodyard Site (Hwy 127) and Fairgrounds Site will be closing their gates at 5:45 PM. Monday – Saturday, in order to allow the workers to provide cleanup and sanitation at these sites.
Friday , April 28th at South Fentress Park at 9:A.M. The District Attorney’s office will be hosting the 3rd Annual Walk for Victims across the Eighth Judicial District during National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, April 24th- 28.
The National Day of Prayer gathering will be at noon on Thursday May 4th at the Fentress County Courthouse.
Union bank will again sponsor its Annual Community Art Show. It will be held at the bank on Friday, May 5th from 9-5:00 pm. Anyone who would like to display their art should call 931-879-9375 or 931- 239-1105. Exhibitors should 18 or older. The art won’t be judged, just enjoyed. Art should be brought to the bank on Thursday, May 4 from 2-4:00 pm . It needs to be picked up on Monday between 9:00 am and 12:00.
The Fentress County Regional Planning Commission will have a public hearing scheduled for Friday, May 19, 2023 at the Fentress County Courthouse for the purpose of receiving public comment regarding the following: The removal of Buck Lane from the county road list. The public hearing will begin at Noon in the Economic and Community Development Room on the 2nd floor. All citizens are invited to attend. Community Choir Concerts on Sunday and Monday May 7th and 8th
The Community Choir will present their final concerts under the direction of Mr. David Chambers on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. and Monday at 7:00 p.m. Both concerts will take place in the Allardt Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall. Everyone is invited to come out and thank David for his dedication to the choir for over thirty years. The concert is free to the public due to the generous support the local banks provided over the years.
