LTC (Ret) Jack L. Brayton
IN LOVING MEMORY : Lieutenant Colonel, Jack L. Brayton, U.S. Army, Retired was born August 31, 1944 in Margarita, Canal Zone (Panama). He served his country faithfully as a United States Army Helicopter Pilot for over 24 years during the Vietnam Conflict, in Grenada, Tehran, Berlin and Frankfurt, Germany, Desert Shield and in several stateside locations. During his time of service, among the many awards he received included, The Purple Heart, The Bronze Star and The Distinguished Flying Cross. In Vietnam he flew gunships. Later the MD500 for the elite Task Force 160, now the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment and in Desert Shield, the Apache. As he was often heard saying, "I can fly the box it came in!"
After a long hard-fought battle, he departed this earthly life on Wednesday, April 26, 2023.
Requiem Mass will be held on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at 11 A.M. at Saint Christopher Catholic Church with Military Honors provided by American Legion Post 137. The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. - 11 A.M.

The Mundy Funeral Home in Jamestown is in charge of arrangements
